Spent a while watching a couple of Oyster Catchers in the estuary this morning.  Something amazing happened this afternoon ... the sun made an appearance and stayed all afternoon.  Was hoping for a sunset but that was asking for too much.  We seem to have an abundance of Jackdaws at the moment.  They have been here for a couple of weeks now and they are soooo noisy and of course they are after the bird food.  Hope they are not going to stay for too long.
