The Trouble with Lichen

I found this stick on a walk with the dogs a few days ago. They thought I was going to throw it for them and spent the rest of the walk jumping up annoyingly trying to get stick off me. The lichen was lovely and has been a couple of 'nearly' blips. When I was editing a previous shot I zoomed in to check focus and found these little buds of new lichen . I think it looks kinda spacey and creepy all at the same time. I went back to it today with a macro set up and hope you get the idea.
