Butter Yellow

Soft yellow in the low evening light, a classic shot of a classic subject seems perfect for this week’s Tiny Tuesday.
I have been trying to get an even more detailed close up of the flowers, like just the curve of one petal but it seems my Lumix does not have the capacity to focus to that level. So, I debate, should I splurge for a macro lens?  
I don’t actually shoot closeups that much but is it a ‘chicken and egg’ sort of thing, that I don’t shoot closeup/macro because my lenses just can’t quite go there or do I not shoot them because it’s not really my preferred genre?
