Holly the trailblazer

My neighbour Greg came over and met me early this morning and was joined by one of his magnificent Border Collies, Holly.  We were aiming to cut another track in through the middle of Wombat Hollow that would meet up with the main trail.  Many of our decisions as to which way we should go were made for us, we just followed Holly.  She seemed to know where all of the animal tracks were and this made our job a lot easier.  Greg took this photo of the pair of us when we discovered another old Scribbly Gum.  Even Holly was excited.  Now what we have to do is walk the tracks regularly so that they are well worn and we won’t get lost!!  As you can see from this image the sun was shining and it was another welcome reprieve from the ferocious and freezing winds.
