Waiting Room

Waiting for routine MRI (prostate stuff) in St Vincent's Hospital, I was struck by this rather austere arrangement. It reminds me of certain 1960s/70s American photographers who had an eye for the weirdness proliferating around them. Also of the 'Martian' movement in poetry. It's like the kind of tableau ET's (or AI's) might have assembled for captured humans if they'd been told "these creatures like to sit and relax with with works of art", etc.
