A visit to Middleton Hall and Gardens.

We took ourselves off early to visit Middleton Hall and Gardens. It’s only a 15-20 minute car journey from us.(https://www.middleton-hall.co.uk/about-us/our-history/).
The morning started off hot and sunny till just after lunch, which we had in the delightful Courtyard Café sitting outside. Several little franchises all grouped around the enclosed area.
It began to cloud over gradually and feels quite sultry.
It’s Sports Day at the school opposite us and we can hear the cheering as each race takes place. Parents were walking down the road to go into the school grounds, as we arrived home, carrying folding chairs, and wearing sun hats.
I just hope the threat of a downpour will not materialise.
This evening we are taking the Cross City Line into Birmingham to have dinner at Zizi’s in the Mail Box at 18:30, with a friend who is introducing us to her new young ( in his early 40’s) man.
