Spotted African Corn Lily
Busy day today. Early walk with Geordie, then playing field for ten o’clock for primary school sports day. Hannah had a great time, but it was just too much for Maggie. She was totally overwhelmed by the whole thing. Too many people, too much noise. She did manage her running race, but that was all.
Their mum, Suzy, had to go off to work at lunchtime, so I came home, gave G. a wee walk, then walked back to the field for the afternoon potted sports. Again Hannah thoroughly enjoyed herself, but Maggie clung to one of the nursery teachers most of the time, until the teacher found a quiet corner where she and Maggie played themselves with a bat and ball. I saw some smiles then, the first all day. She’s a really sensitive soul, and is happier with little noise and very few people.
My heart went out to her today.
Extra: I’ve told Geordie so many times he’s got to cut out the ciggies. (Playing around with PS)
