The qualities of a walk leader

Today I went with the Long Walkers.

Alistair and Peter were joint leaders. Al told me that the walk was 12 easy miles and I’d be fine. When I arrived this morning, Peter was surprised to see me and asked “Are you sure you are up for this?” I feigned dismay!

The walk was well led by Peter, but the 12 increased to 12.3 and then to 12.5 (at least)! I thoroughly enjoyed it and it was good to see old friends as we traversed three woods near Corbridge.
