Happy 9 Months Maple Violet!
I forgot to take a picture of her today so I snuck one tonight of her all tucked up and asleep for the night (Bar a dream feed).
I have seen a few people at this stage say that now their 9-month-old has been in this world longer than they were in the womb. We have had the pleasure (And worry) of having her a bit longer! She has certainly thrived for a preemie. In saying that, I don't really consider her that premature. The twins were so much smaller and helpless, (Although Maple was certainly hooked up to some hardcore breathing equipment)..... quite Dubai I think.
Maple is a character. She is patient. cheery, stubborn and has a good sense of humour. She loves to laugh and smile at the twins. She really does love them and enjoys sitting back and being part of it all. She is so wriggly and I have to dress her in front of the tv these days. There is no other way, especially getting her boots on correctly. This is coming from a mum of three. I never had this issue with Oscar and Bailee. I am wondering if you can buy a baby straight jacket?
The twins had another good day at nursery. Apparently, however, Mrs S had to use her 'grumpy face' with Oscar as he was making very loud, screaming noises copying another boy who can't speak english. He can get a little over excited. So we had a little chat about being noisy and when is the right time....
Tonight Oscar and Bailee didn't fall asleep until 845pm. They wanted honey (Don't ask!), water, to go for a wee twice (Oscar), toys, more stories and Oscar was "Scared". It's a hard one as I know they are testing the boundaries and just using delaying tactics but the scared thing gets me every time. I just couldn't leave him frightened. But they are asleep now so fingers crossed for a good night.
