with lovely blue eyes. There were two and I snapped a few more images. At the Frances Short pond in a smoky Flagstaff. Urban wildlife doesn't seem to quite so 'wild'.

       Another long hot day and after the smoke of Flagstaff we came home to a haze of smoke over the White Mountains - the result of a dry lightning strike last Friday or Saturday. Forty or so miles away (as a crow may fly) near Bear Wallow and Hannigan Meadows . . .

       Saw those bull elk that crossed the road in front of me yesterday morning in the same place.
