Marathon Registration

After school we went with Chris to the Excel to register for Sunday's Marathon.

As usual, there is a big wall there where you can write messages of support or messages in memory of people you are running for. The children and I always write a message for Chris of course, but this year Chris wrote one to, in memory of the people killed and injured in Boston. There were a lot of messages of that kind.

All the runners are being asked to wear black ribbons and the marathon organisation will donate £2 for each runner who crosses the line to a charity set up to help the victims in and their famililes.

When Betsy was talking to some of her classmates today, she told them that Chris is running on Sunday, and a girl said, 'well your Dad is going to get blown up then'. What a lovely and not at all stupid thing to say.
