Marsh Orchid

We went to Brodsworth Hall with our neighbours to the house where we used to live. It was the first time we have seen them for a number of months so good to catch up. However, our plans were scuppered by the property being closed because water to the site had been cut off. We found it difficult to understand why it was not possible to visit the gardens, but accepted the inevitable and went to the RSPB Reserve at Low Moor instead. We were rewarded by seeing marsh orchids.
It was very hot and close - has summer arrived?
