Walldoor

Had a section of our boundary wall renovated and repointed today, especially the capping as that rather looks after the rest of the wall.

This was just a 'recording' photo but does highlight the filled-in door in the wall.  This, by virtue of the slope of the road, historically opened into the upstairs floor of the stables, now the (misnamed) Coach House cottage.  We presume it was used for loading hay and feed.
