Nine years ago today, we were in Chengdu, China and had the amazing opportunity to visit the panda breeding center there. We were allowed to hold a “baby” panda. This is a one year old and she weighed about 50 pounds! Very soft and cuddly too! We had to wear the blue gowns and gloves when we held her, not for our protection, but for her protection against any germs we may be carrying. She was also chewing on a piece of bamboo. The guide told us the pandas have ESP…….all they do is eat, sleep and poop!
