The Dance of Death

A famous play by August Strindberg, modernised! It hadnt had very good reviews but we went to see it this afternoon anyway. It only lasted about 90 mins. Why was it adapted in such a crass way? Strindberg is a great writer. But to fill the opening 10 minutes with every swear word you could imagine just to make the audience laugh was inexcusable. No recommendation from us. Lindsay Duncan and Hilton McRae, married in real life, play the lead roles. PS we are not being prudes about the swearing!
