Barista Extraordinaire....

This is Danielle who manages the Trail House bar and cafe. It is now separate from the bike shop in ownership if not in physical space. The bicycle part was purchased by Specialized a few months ago, but the former owner decided to keep the cafe, probably because of his friendship with Vinnie Cilurzo, co-owner of the Russian River Brewing Company, home of 'aggressively hopped beer'. In addition to making the best coffee, Danielle can expertly draw one of several varieties of Russian River beer on tap. We were discussing her bangles when I snapped this picture.

John continues to have attacks of coughing, especially at night and I continue to sleep better on the guest bed mattress, so our separate accommodation is ongoing until his cough improves and we get a new mattress. He had a proper PCR test on Monday and he doesn't have Covid, but probably does have a sinus infection. The doctor doesn't seem inclined to prescribe an antibiotic, but John doesn't seem inclined to ask either, so I stay out of it.  He was still asleep when Dana texted this morning to say that Blake was exhibiting early signs of having a relapse and she didn't know what to do. They are on a flight to Madrid tonight, first leg of a two week graduation trip for Peter.

After conferring, we told her that it was a bad situation, but that we would still have him and take good care of him. She called the vet who put him back on antibiotics. Dana said that 'the antibiotic was a miracle drug once, hopefully it will be again'. 

So here I am with one restless, pacing dog, one blind dog and a coughing man....
Tonight should be interesting. Musical beds with man and dog....not sure where the woman will fit in. Maybe under the bed....
