Flying loads
We were watching the big cranes working on the Haymarket development. One was moving a glass cladding pane (extra); the other was lifting several big flat loads off a lorry (with a yellow cab roof) up and around to the top floor. A small bucket was moved (presumably, tools were required on the roof, and it's quicker to move them by crane than have someone walk down and up the building for them) Days of light wind, like this, make for more predictable landing behavior when big items are flying through the air.
For scale, St Mary's Cathedral towers are behind the cranes.
Walked down the canal to Harrison Park and along the railway path to the Slateford goods yard gate
