Liverpool Street Station

The tour continues and after a trek across London a cab yesterday, too many cases for the underground, we took a train from Liverpool Street station to Cambridge where we are for a few days.

Liverpool Street station.
Built in 1874, designed by Edward Wilson,  as the new terminus for the Great Eastern Railway serving East London, Essex and East Anglia.
It boasted nine platforms and had a connection to the Metropolitan Railway the worlds first underground railway.
