Lunch For One

Dawny, a Gold Laced Wyandotte, was given to me over two years ago by a friend who found her wandering along the side of a busy road. I suspect she was dumped because the upper half of her beak is missing so she takes a very long time to eat her food.  Breakfast and dinner are served in her own accommodation and lunch is in the shearing shed away from the other hens.  She comes when called and she is an excellent layer.
Extra:  It's rare for properties in our road to change hands  Most of the residents have lived here for 20+ years but the house at the end of the road is on the market again just a year after the current owners bought it.
