Who knew .......

...... that the White Ermine moth had a black & yellow body?

I certainly didn't until this one dropped by the garden!

Unfortunately the reason that we can see its abdomen is that it seems to be injured :-(

We also had a visit from a Humming-bird Hawk-moth last evening ....... must keep a look out to see if it comes back!
Unfortunately it didn't hang around long enough for me to get the camera!

It's roasting hot this afternoon ...... the temperature has climbed to 31c ..... a bit too much! Much cooler tomorrow ..... in fact only mid teens ..... I'll need my woollies with that drop in temperature!
