Rabbit ( Oryctolagus cuniculus )

Finally, I feel more or less back to normal, just the occasional muscle ache.  Still need to keep away from people as I am probably still positive, although "the Mate's" family who went down at the same time are starting to test negative.

30 Days wild day 17.  The common or garden rabbit.  posing nicely.  Rabbits are as is often thought rodents they are Lagomorphs the same group as Hares.  It has for many years been believed that the Normans introduced Rabbits to the UK, however in 2019 rabbit bones found in roman palace in West Sussex were proved to date to the first century AD.  It isn't known whether it was a food item or a family pet but undoubtedly it was here and long before Norman Times.
