A late and lonely clematis
I looked out of my study window having spotted a nuthatch visiting the sunflower feeder down below on the patio. By the time i had my camera ready it had flown.
On the large bush just beyond where the feeder hangs down above our patio from the overhanging branch of the neighbour's tree, are these new clematis flowers, which I haven't seen there before. They looked a bit lonely to me as it is rather late in the spring season for clematis montana and a bit early for summer flowering clematis. But I'm very pleased to see them.
