SILLY SATURDAY - HELPING WITH THE HOUSEWORK

We know that Mrs. HCB was feeling a bit sore after her physio treatment yesterday, and she is also trying to reduce the amount of painkillers she is taking, so as it was raining and we couldn’t go out, we decided it would be a good idea to help her out with some housework.  We got out the Dyson cleaner and made sure that we sucked up all the flies off the windowsills in the conservatory and then several others got out the dusters and polish and we set to work.  We think that Admirer would be proud of us for helping out and of course, no doubt she would smile if she saw how we did things - not quite like Mrs. HCB, of course!

It didn’t take long before everything looked spick and span so Mrs. HCB said we could all have a mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows - and you all know how much we love that treat.

It looks as if some of us will have to get in the shower later because - and we don’t like to say it - there was quite a lot of dust around the house.  The trouble is that Mr. HCB seems to spend so much time “pottering” in the garden and with Mrs. HCB having a sore neck, a lot of the housework hasn’t been done, not that it matters that much, but we like to do a good and thorough job.  We are open to offers to come and clean, so if you are wanting a Super Speedy Gang, rather than a Silly Saturday Gang, then we are the ones for you!

Mr. HCB isn’t out in the garden today because it’s raining and quite hard too - and although he is thrilled that he doesn’t have to water the garden, he’s not so happy because he is due to go to Bristol later today with his cricket buddy, Keith and his son, Martyn, to watch a 20/20 cricket match.  The last one was rained off, so they are hoping that all the rain will fall BEFORE 6 o’clock this evening.

We know that Mrs. HCB is sorry she can’t comment at the moment, but she has told us how much she appreciates all your kind comments, stars and hearts and says she hopes she will soon be back in touch with you all again.
