Par for the course
This morning I set off in search of a piece of street art I wanted to see - I’d checked where it was meant to be, worked out my route and totally failed to find it.
Instead I ended up on Leith Links where I finally got a proper look at this - a statue of John Rattray, surgeon and sportsman, who signed the first written Rules of Golf for an “Open” golf competition which took place on Leith Links in March 1744.
