So, today was intended to be a leisurely end of holiday day. Until mid-morning when five enormous, but friendly, dogs came bounding past our remote villa. Two of them stayed all day. The blonde one with the blood caked neck and the dark one with the collar made from metal spikes (apparently to protect from bites from a wild boar). At first I was worried on their behalf and thought their owner must be missing them. So I tried wandering around aimlessly looking for a local with dogs and a gun (easier done back in Gifford). When nobody came to get them we all settled down.
Eventually they wandered off. For an hour. Then came back again. Who knows what the evening holds. The kids are under orders not to feed them.
