Looking back.

As the song goes “I’ve never seen a view that didn’t look better looking back.”
After nearly 4 miles of up hill we reached the saddle of Coledale Hause at 2000feet, had a coffee and set off down the 2.5 mile descent of Gasgale Gill.
We were almost at the bottom when I decided the path on the other side of the beck looked easier and there were handy stepping stones. The second stone was very slippery and I ended up horizontal in the beck. It was cold and wet.The upside was that despite the incident we got back to the road and the bus arrived within two minutes.
