Bagpipes

On our afternoon walk we could hear bagpipes. It eventually appeared they were practicing at Market Green. I think it was a band practicing for an upcoming event. They had wee cones out so wonder if they were practicing a little drill as well as the music.

I always love the drummers in these bands. The rat-a-tat-tat drummers that you get in marching band. Always thought it would be a cool (and most likely very difficult!) thing to learn.

The photo doesn’t do today’s weather much justice as it looks very overcast. It was a bit of scorcher this after but a stiff breeze helped us feel a bit cooler.
