Lavender's blue!
My covid continues much to my irritation. In my case a headache seems to have been my over riding symptom and it continued today! Tested positive again.
I spent some time in the garden today trying to catch up a bit. The combination of covid and my broken wrist has meant that things just haven't been done. My sweet peas should have been planted on about 3 weeks ago, they were almost 2 ft long in their, very congested, pot. I'm hoping they'll recover. You can see some around the metal tower and some others in the blue crate. I've put the largest near to the garage in their usual place. I do hope they recover.
In the square pot are my 3 new Amarine Belladiva Emanuelle, for some reason I chose another pink variety. Still the bulbs have taken and they look to be doing ok. I didn't do anything to them today other than move the planter!
In the square plastic tub is a new lavender and the two miniature roses Katy gave me for Mothers Day, I've put them together as they should like that.
There's a lemon verbena which survived the winter in the front corner next to the marjoram and to the right is the Bomarea which Maurice1948 sent me a root of. It seems to have taken OK in its pot.
There's also some very sad looking pea seedlings which I planted out a couple of weeks ago, they don't look very happy. This is really a record blip so I can look back in a couple of weeks and see how things, which have been rather ill treated, are getting on.
Gardening was interesting! I have a splint which is too large so I wore it over the top of my gardening glove which meant that my good splint didn't get muddy. The simplest tasks are beyond me though.... dead heading and pruning with secateurs doesn't work, digging is tricky too.
I did however water all the pots which I planted up a couple of weeks ago, they seem to have taken ok. Life at the Mair's is never dull!
My extra is of a very proud Eilidh and the tray of cakes she made for her Brownie Baker badge.
