After yesterday's sunshine and temperatures in the upper 20s, it was much cooler today.

The cable on the garage door snapped on Thursday afternoon and thanks to Amazon Prime, a couple of new ones arrived this morning. I know from experience that they can be a dog of a job to fix as the powerful spring has to be tensioned in order to fit the cable and all the parts are smothered in grease. I was pleased when I completed the job single-handed without a single swear word.

After cutting the back lawns, I went out for a walk in order to clock up my 10,000 steps. I spotted this roller by the footpath in a corner of a field.

A spot of rain this evening.
