Nina Ballerina!

She turned 5 months old yesterday ... that is fast! She was born 3 weeks too early, but, looking at her now, if I hadn't known that, I wouldn't have been any wiser. Anyway, about 5 minutes after this shot was taken, Granny, who had been anticipating a sideways movement, was caught entirely off guard when Nina suddenly 'bent' forward, hitting her head on the dining table and causing a general stir among the grown-ups present. Granny was, needless to say, very very upset and vowed she not only would never do 'it' again but also that she would wait until baby was a few months older and a lot more able to bear the weight of her cranium. However, Granny also realized that it's been a long time since she last held an infant in her arms, so practice is needed. Nina's Papa and Mama heartily agreed.
