Circle

A hasty trip to the shop for ingredients this morning where, funnily enough, I bumped into Carol and Stefan doing exactly the same thing!

Back to make two lemon drizzle cakes, one to take this afternoon and one to stay at home - it is MrM's favourite cake after all! Then to join the other Circle ladies for an early Solstice celebration 'afternoon' tea', though it turned in to a substantial meal with fizz. Lots of interesting and thought-provoking conversation before we ate. The theme of roses seemed to dominate the proceedings.

A brought a gift for each of us, a lovely little notebook. Surrounded mine with sweet williams for the Blip - an EB at the end of the day. Wish I'd remembered to take a photo of the food before we demolished it this afternoon, especially A's layered vegetable and stilton pie!
