After a morning's marking I picked up a car and drove to Stirling for the first f2f SD session since pre-pandemic. Nice to see old chums and have a blether.

There was a strange sign up in the hotel's reception area apologising for the fact that the grass hadn't been cut, due to an eruption of orchids. This was the view out of my bedroom window - a lovely bank of grass and wildflowers. (Inc orchids, with bonus bee). Whatever were they apologising for?
