Just chillin'

Busy day! I've decided that I've had enough of not getting things done so I'm going to try and use my time more productively.

We woke at 8, together in bed, which was lovely tbh. Maybe we can compromise with the sleeping until we get used to our own space. It's not something I'm going to stress or worry about, or listen to anyone who tells me I'm making a rod for my own back - he's an infant. He won't always need me like he does now and I'm going to enjoy every second :)

Busy busy busy this morning, cleaning, sorting, making shopping lists and then heading out to do some grocery shopping. As per usual I heard people comment on "that smiley baby" or "look at him, he's so cute" and it makes me embarrassed ! I am so happy that he's a happy content child but we need to stop attracting old women! He is totally a granny magnet! I even caught a man "making faces" at him while we were in the queue, the man looked horrified when he caught me looking. He was really gurning and Noah was chuckling away.

A carpenter came to fix his bedroom door (switched it around etc) and so the boy went out for a walk with nanny in the rain. I cooked a batch of flapjacks (Noah's favourite! Sugarless recipe so perfect for him) and cottage pie with sweet potato mash. I froze some portions and then gave him some for his tea. Weeeeellll, he used to hate mince, I'm thinking due to the texture, but it didn't touch the sides today. Probably had a lot to do with the sweet potato mash - a way to any Roberts man's heart for sure!

This photo was taken after I stripped him after dinner. He was COVERED in flapjack and potato and there was no way I was letting him near the beanbag covered like that! He enjoyed being naked so much that I just cranked up the heat in the lounge and left him to it. He watched "In the night garden" and ate his socks :) Why not eh?

Bedtime was horribly easy tonight. Boob, put him in his cot. He slept. I sat and watched him. I'm typing this with the camera in his cot open. I think this is a LOT harder for me than for him. I'm glad he's ok to sleep alone, he has his bunny in his arms and I will just have to take Rufus to bed with me. ORI could go sleep with him in his cot? OR I could get a grip.

*goes to measure self against the cot*
