Bottom braces out

I picked up my son from school at 11am and took him to see the orthodontist. The bottom braces were taken out. He said it felt really weird not having the braces on. The orthodontist decided not to take the top braces out until the implantologist has looked at the x rays. The gaps between the roots of the teeth need to be wide enough for the implants. If the braces get taken out when the teeth/ roots are not correctly positioned then he would need further orthodontic treatment when he's older (he needs to be at least 18 years old for the implants. ). He is going back to see the orthodontist next Monday.
Later in the evening, I dropped off the x rays at the implantologist's. Hopefully, he'll be able to give us an answer before next Monday.
