Lucy

Santa Rosa is the home of Charles Schultz, creator of Peanuts. There is a very nice ice rink named after him which has lots of family programs. Will and Peter went there when they were small, and they would get a little chair to push in front of them and hold them up while they wobbled around the rink with all the other little kids pushing chairs. It was very cute.

As part of some civic project, lots of fiberglas statues of Peanuts characters were placed all over town. Lucy is in front of a medical building which is right across the street from the hospital. She is wearing the traditional candy striped apron worn by hospital volunteers with a picture of the hospital on the front. She looks considerably happier and more helpful than the Lucy who holds the football for Charlie Brown and pulls it away at the last minute!
