SAVIOUR SILICA

While walking in the rain yesterday, with my camera inside my coat, I think some water gone onto it. It's been quite wet before, so I assumed it would be OK. However, later on the LCD screen and the viewfinder (electronic on a Sony) stopped working... I wrapped it up tight with some silica gel and it seems to be working now - albeit with the LCD somewhat dodgy. If it survives until I leave Japan that would be best..
