Papa

I found a group on Facebook called Eaglesham Memories. Papa popped up to say hello, as did my gran and a school photo of my mum. Freaky!

They are all pre-Internet people and its quite breathtaking when you're scrolling along and there's your loved one popping up from beyond the grave. What was lovely was all the nice things everyone said about my papa. He couldn't possibly have been respected more.

He died the day before my 15th birthday. He was born in 1920 in Greenock. Living here makes me feel close to him.
