Disaster recovery

Today I learned firsthand what it feels like to experience a catastrophic carbon-fibre drive belt failure. It is rather unexpected and sudden.

I had expected a bit longer lifetime, but I guess two winters and 4,250 km is still not to be scoffed at. I have ridden them hard in a punishing environment.

Luckily for me, I managed to limp to a repair shop half an hour before they closed; and not only did they have a new belt in stock, they also had time to replace the broken one.
