Disruption ahead.

We walked to the library this afternoon. Nice warm day. One of the new ScotRail class 385 intercity 8 carriage trains passed as we walked along the trackside footpath. Travellers will face a lot of disruption this week during strikes by RMT members of Network Rail on 21, 23 and 25 June. ScotRail has said it will have to cancel many of its trains. The dispute does not involve ScotRail staff, but Scotrail relies on Network Rail workers to operate certain signal boxes and maintain the infrastructure across Scotland. RMT employees of 13 train operators in England and Wales are also striking, and London Tube is off too.

Teachers in the family tidying up the session now; summer holidays start on Friday.
