Allium & a PhD !!

The allium is in the blip, and the PhD (in physics) was earned today by my nephew, Michael Van de Graaff, at his doctoral defense at the University of Colorado in Boulder Colorado. That makes three generations of doctorates in the Van de Graaff family:  My father's DPhil in physics  from Oxford, mine at Columbia University (in education), and Michael's.  Hoorah !!
