Potatoes

The potatoes are coming into flower. They always take me back to a day on Prince Edward Island in Canada. We were admiring a large field of tatties in full bloom when an elderly gentleman asked us if we knew what they were. He was from Toronto and had never before seen a potato plant! It brought home to us just how many of us are totally disconnected from the production of the food that we eat.
