Solstice Sunrise

We were out on the walk just after sunrise at 7.16am.  The sky was clear and the light was lovely.  Most of the leaves have left the liquid amber trees and their multiple seed pod balls are hanging like Christmas decorations! : )

I always love the coldness of the shortest day and the promise that the days will get longer and warmer from here on in.
