A football day
These stamps were in the Post Office, so a necessary item for me to buy for letters to football friends.
If you get your spyglass on the 1923 stamp you will see most of the population of Bolton. Everyone was there, even the priests and vicars, leaving no one to perform any Saturday marriages.
Tonight, with a great deal of encouragement- ‘ you need to meet more people and make new friends’ I played walking football at the leisure centre. I loved it, and got a warm welcome. It is run by the Torquay United Community Trust. Onwards and upwards. It is never too late.
