Red Hot Poker

I spotted some of these growing at the side of the wood this morning on our walk. They looked really out of place. Our walk was good this morning and we didn’t have such an early start because the dogs and I were up before Maggie. In fact we had to waken her at 8 o’clock.
It was quiet and calm and peaceful in the wood, and we didn’t meet another soul.
I read for a while when we got home, then walked down to meet Hannah and Maggie from school and nursery. They played in the park for a while then we made our way back here for juice and biscuits. The girls then played with Geordie in the garden until their mum picked them up after work. Suzy is now a Charge Nurse, so is working slightly different hours.
