Dinner is served!

It's been very hot today so garden jobs were just things like deadheading and tying in.

My blip is of one of the very attentive parents of the starling chicks under the eves of my next door neighbour's house.  This looks a tasty meal for the youngsters.  It's their second brood so they've been very busy for weeks.

I have a blackbird's nest in the jasmine outside my back door.  It's obviously used to my comings and goings.  The eggs are still being brooded by the parent so I hope that I'll get to see the chicks when they hatch.
