Cisternino

It was predicted to be a hot day so we got to Cisternino fairly early in search of shade. We wandered around a bit of the old town that neither of us had seen before, and it was charming and quiet. There were all sorts of sayings written on boards placed fairly high up. My favourite was (according to Google translate) “The upside of tight shoes is that they make you forget about your other problems”. You may recall I bought a fabulous pair of sandals in Cisternino a fortnight ago - very comfortable!

In the afternoon we headed home for the coolness of the Trullo and a swim. In the evening we headed out to the coast for a walk. Tim found many bits and pieces that will hopefully end up in sculptures.
