I think we might have a Katsura Tree. Otherwise known as a Caramel Tree, or here in the UK a Candyfloss Tree. I’m told it gives off a burnt sugar aroma in autumn. We’ve been trying to identify it for some time and in our determination to learn more about trees, we’ve increased our library.
