Fire Sticks

The ocotillo is one of the most unique plant in Arizona. The red flowers at the tips are stunning against the blue Arizona sky.

They are one of the most popular landscaping plants, especially along medians and roadways, where they can be seen in rows. People also plant them in their yards. This one is in the corner of my next door neighbor's yard.

I planted one last year that is half thriving and half dead. My luck.
