We visited Penrith this afternoon, needing a few provisions after having arrived at a campsite west of the town.  It's a lovely place, with interesting architecture and independent shops.

On the way there we stopped at Adventure Leisure caravan dealers in Tebay; I was looking for a replacement brake light bulb for our caravan.  A kind gentleman called Ernie delayed his lunch break to examine our brake light, choose the right bulb and fit it.  Free.  He was great fun to chat with and generous with his time and advice.  What generosity.
