Hot Dogs

Well the summer arrived with a vengeance on this solstice day.  I finally relented and turned the AC on when the thermometer outside reached 102F (39C). The dogs responded to the heat accordingly., and the humans weren't far behind. It's too hot to do much of anything. John spent most of the afternoon trying to take a nap without much success.

It is ironic, that while following the Covid protocols, we also managed to avoid getting anything else.  Now that the masks are off and semi normal life has resumed,  many are getting sick, not with Covid but with worse than usual colds or, in John's case, a nasty sinus infection. As soon as he becomes prone, he starts coughing. He finally got an antibiotic from the doctor yesterday. I hope for all our sakes it kicks in soon. Sleep is elusive. I'm sleeping in the guest room, but encounter marauding dogs every time I emerge in the night. Night time is becoming more active than day time around here!

I am quite overwhelmed by the response to yesterday's wedding photo. Thank to all of you wonderful people for all the love, and especially such nice comments. We may even remember our anniversary after all!
